What I tell clients before their first session

Three sentences, every time, before any Reiki session:

This is not medical treatment. It does not replace anything your doctor has told you. If you have a diagnosis, keep your appointments.

Some people find it deeply relaxing. Some feel nothing. Both are normal outcomes and neither means anything is wrong with you.

Saying this up front has never once cost me a client, and it keeps the work honest.
